COURSE OBJECTIVE:
To enable workers to work confidently and competently when
working to remove small quantities of asbestos in the workplace.
To enable supervisors to feel confident that all personnel
are properly trained and licensed to remove asbestos in the
workplace.
TRAINING DESIGNED FOR TYPES OF POSITIONS:
This course is aimed at all personnel who may be involved
in asbestos removal as part of their scope of work..
COURSE RECOGNITION:
This course carries no national recognition but is an approved
course by Department Employment and Industrial Relations QLD.
Paul Minahan is licensed to deliver this training course.
EXPECTED OUTCOMES OF TRAINING:
At the completion of the course candidates would
have knowledge of;
- Legislative and other requirements,
- Approved methods of asbestos removal and disposal,
- Site safety and PPE requirements, etc.
Each of these areas can be broken down even further but would
relate to much reading.
METHODS OF DELIVERY:
The methods of delivery will include;
- Face to face tutorials and discussion, Workshops,
- Audio Visual. Practical situation discussion,
- Theoretical situation discussion.
WHAT LEARNING MATERIALS DO PARTICIPANTS RECEIVE:
A concise training program given out to each participant during
this course.
WHAT OPPORTUNITIES DO PARTICIPANTS HAVE FOR PRACTICAL APPLICATION
OF NEW SKILLS:
The course is delivered in a classroom type situation. This
course has no practical component.
WHAT FEEDBACK BO PARTICIPANTS RECEIVE:
At the completion of the module discussion of topics and answering
of questions is included as part of the course.
HOW IS TERMINAL BEHAVIOR MEASURED:
Assessment criteria will be by;
- Workshops amongst the participants.
- Group discussion, and
- Other assessment methodology.
All of the above will be as required to determine participants
terminal behavior.
WHAT FOLLOW UP AND ONGOING SUPPORT IS PROVIDED:
All participants and their employers are provided with contacts
within Quantum Training so that if a problem arises they can
contact us for advice and/or guidance.
DURATION OF TRAINING COURSE:
The course is 4 hours duration.
FEE STRUCTURE:
Cost for this course is $100 per candidate with a minimum
of 10 candidates for this training program.
This does not include any Government license fees which may
be applicable.
Where the course is small or long distances are traveled
to deliver only a small number of courses travel, meals & accommodation
fees are charged at the current federal tax ruling rate. Where
this course is provided in conjunction with other courses only
50% of these charges are applied.
