Construction Industry Induction Training
COURSE OBJECTIVE:
To enable workers to work confidently and competently develop
good OH&S practices at their workplace and to comply with
the requirements of Division of Workplace Health and Safety
QLD.
To enable supervisors to feel confident that all personnel
are properly trained to work on construction worksites.
TRAINING DESIGNED FOR TYPES OF POSITIONS:
This course is aimed at all personnel who may be involved
in working in the construction industry.
COURSE ACCREDITATION:
In QLD we are approved by Division Workplace Health and Safety
to deliver this training course.
This course carries national accreditation. Unit of competency
number

Each successful candidate receives a wallet ID card
at the completion of the course. The wallet ID card
is issued by the Division. |
EXPECTED OUTCOMES OF TRAINING:
At the completion of the course candidates would have knowledge
of;
- Legislative and other requirements, Work Plans,
- Committee powers Overview of many requirements of worksites,
- Managements’ role, Unions’ role,
- Rights of workers, Requirements of Workers Compensation
Act etc.
Each of these areas can be broken down even further but would
relate to much reading.
METHODS OF DELIVERY:
The methods of delivery will include;
- Face to face tutorials and discussion, Workshops,
- Audio Visual. Practical situation discussion,
- Theoretical situation discussion.
WHAT LEARNING MATERIALS DO PARTICIPANTS RECEIVE:
A complete training program given out to each participant
during this course.
WHAT OPPORTUNITIES DO PARTICIPANTS HAVE FOR PRACTICAL APPLICATION
OF NEW SKILLS:
The course is delivered in a classroom type situation.
WHAT FEEDBACK DO PARTICIPANTS RECEIVE:
At the completion of the module discussion of topics and answering
of questions is included as part of the course.
HOW IS TERMINAL BEHAVIOUR MEASURED:
Assessment criteria will be by;
- Workshops amongst the participants.
- Group discussion, and
- Other assessment methodology.
All of the above will be as required to determine participants
terminal behaviour.
WHAT FOLLOW UP AND ONGOING SUPPORT IS PROVIDED:
All participants and their employers are provided with contacts
within Quantum Training so that if a problem arises they can
contact us for advice and/or guidance.
DURATION OF TRAINING COURSE:
In QLD the approved course is 4 hours duration.
FEE STRUCTURE:
Course costs are $80.00 (no GST applicable) per candidate
attending the course. Preferred maximum number for the course
is 15 to 20 participants.
Our standard fee of $150.00 per day for travel and accommodation
apply to all courses. This fee is reduced to $100.00 where
the client supplies power and water to connect to.
